Dear AIESEC Alumni and friends in our network,
We have updates from current local member committee regarding the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
In light of the situation, AIESEC continues to respond to the outbreak, placing our members and partners’ well-being and safety as top priority.
On exchanges, AIESEC International has been monitoring the outbreak in all the countries and territories where the organization has a physical presence and measures have been taken. In specific, AIESEC has:
- Warned potential partners about the risk associated with traveling on all AIESEC social media channels
- Made changes on our platform, aiesec.org, to prevent any application for exchanges starting earlier than 1st June 2020
On top of the above, AIESEC in Hong Kong has also released “COVID-19 Special Arrangements” in addition to our Exchange Product Policies to further protect our customers going on exchange this summer. Our experience managers are prepared to update our applicants and partners with details.
Preparing for the future, together with the Global Office, AIESEC in Hong Kong is assessing the development of the situation around the clock and monitoring the activities in all local offices. To ensure the safety and well-being of all stakeholders, AIESEC in Hong Kong is constantly reviewing the need of cancellation and rescheduling of all activities that may promote the spread of virus or pose any threat to any parties involved.
